Indian Classic Dance
Seedbed Dance and Classical Music of India Bharatanatyam.
The Bharatanatyam is one of the classical dances of India, originally from Tamil Nandu, in the south of the country. The importance of this dance is the expression of each one of the parts of the body, where more emphasis is given to the face and hands, which form characteristic mudras, to tell a story or to worship the gods. Associated with fire, the Bharatanatyam, belongs within the five dances of the elements. It is performed alone and has two aspects, Lasya (female) and Ananda Thandavam (male).
